BiB - Ariel in Scenario: Retarded
Our daughter Ariel is looking normal, but she has limited mental capacities, like she doesn't recognize dangers and fights restrictions. Because she is not fully potty-trained, she needs to wear incontinence material, but always tries to remove that. We have found that overalls and one-piece suits are necessary to both control her and prevent her from taking her clothes or protection off.
Several of her clothes have a handle attached to the back, so that she can be pulled or steered away from danger or things she is not allowed, like from a hot kettle on the stove:
The handle is also useful in locking her to a fence/railing/... when visiting a place she is not allowed or wanted. In this case to a stair railing at a friends who's house is not proofed for a child or retard. We used a short chain to prevent her from sitting down and soiling her nice overalls, though she still managed to kneel:

Naturally her overalls are locked to prevent her from taking them off without permission: the straps are locked, and go under the straps of her shirt so she can't pull them off her shoulders. The belt prevents her from interfering with her incontinence material (see the bulk?), and since she was a good girl today, we used her cute pink heart-shaped padlock on it, matching the pink ribbons in her pigtails.
More and more schools have chairs nowadays with slits in the back for such a handle. With a slider or even a slat the occupant is prevented from leaving the chair, and the back is in the way of releasing him/herself. Unluckily the chair we ordered is still in back-order, so for now we need to improvise at home:

In the afternoon, Ariel gets to play in her playcorner, on her favorite blanket. Since it is a warm day, she is put in her skortalls (shortalls that look like a skirt in front). These have a button on the inside that can be locked, so her diaper is protected again, and of course the straps are secured as well.

Quickly she starts drawing, but she knows she needs to wear her harness shortalls over her normal clothes to keep them from getting dirty. These have a big bib in front that can be wiped clean, but consist only of straps at the back, so they don't get too hot. The straps buckle out of the way at the back, and can easily be secured. The ring at the back a nice attachment point for a leash or a chain. Leaving her behind uncovered also allows easy access to her buttocks if she has earned a spanking.

To prevent her from leaving any area unauthorized, there is a railing system though the house, where a chain runs through that can be locked to the ring on her harness shortalls. With rubber stops we can further limit her range:
Of course she doesn't like the added restrictions, but she is used to them and after testing her limits she pretty quickly gets back to her drawing and forgets all about them.

After a while Ariel gets a little tired, and starts throwing things. And she knows the punishment for that: timeout in her mittens, and when that doesn't calm her down enough, her mittens are connected to the waist belt of her harness shortalls by short chains:

And then it is time for bed, where she always wears sleepers. Luckily Little Keeper Sleeper has recently started making these in large sizes, too. Of course they need to zip up the back, and in this case they are made inescapable by adding a double tab over the top of the zipper, so that exploring hands can't find the zipper pull. The zipper goes down to the ankle for easy diaper changing, and their bulk clearly shows in the close-fitting sleeper.

To keep her where she should be during the night, she wears a leather belt that is locked to a chain around the bed. Her wrist cuffs are connected to the same chain. Het feet are locked to the end with a normal chain, so that she can't trample so wildly and shake the sheets and comforter off. To prevent her from sitting up we use leather cuffs around her upper arms that are chained to the top of the bed. (Of course anything around her neck during the night wouldn't be safe.)
